Aaron Wiley ended up with more than he bargained for in May, when he went to his favorite jeweler in Dallas to get his wife’s old diamond necklace upgraded.

One day after helping Wiley and his wife, Erleigh Wiley, select a new motif for the necklace, Jennifer Pratt of JPratt Designs offered an unexpected gem: her kidney.

During their design appointment, when Pratt learned that Aaron was on dialysis treatment because the kidney Erleigh had given him about 10 years earlier had failed, she knew she wanted to help, she said.

“Aaron had been in the store a few times before, and although I didn’t know him well, I knew he was a good person. I went home and told my husband, ‘I’m going to try and give Aaron my kidney.'”

“We were living a peaceful life, drinking wine and enjoying the pool in our backyard, and Aaron was in dialysis three or four times a week,” added Pratt, 59. “I thought, ‘This is something I can do to fix that problem. I can make life better for him...read more

CLEAR SIGN FROM GOD

I once again humbly request your prayers, my brothers and sisters. I need to know if God wishes me to continue a relationship. I lost my fiance to illness and have been alone since that time. My adult daughter is very protective and doesn't want me to pursue another relationship, particularly one that might eventually cause me to move from this town in which both she and I live. I am torn between wanting to have happiness in these later years of my life or acquiescing to my daughter's wishes. I desperately need God to put a clear sign in my path. My thanks to you all. I pray for you all daily and send you caring thoughts.
