LUNCH DATE
She was traveling in Kenya and met a refugee from Zimbabwe. He said he had not eaten anything in over three days and was devastatingly skinny. His skin was sallow, his hair sparse, but his smile was wide and welcoming.
She was in the process of taking out a sandwich from the brown paper it was wrapped in. A bag of chips was tucked in the crook of her arm. A bottle of water wedged in the side of her backpack.
Without hesitation, she offered the man her lunch.
"We can share it." He said gleefully.
The tourist and her guest sat side by side on a bench in the square, eating together under the red African sky.
God looked down from above, and God was pleased.
