Hi Susan,
Thank you so much for all of the hard work, and dedication that you put into Prayables! I sat here with tears in my eye's as I read the ( Daily Feature ) I am a Vietnam Veteran. I can relate to the depression and the thoughts about suicide. I'm very thankful for my supportive wife and for an amazing Psychiatrist who became
my friend.
When I read about the girl that took her life because they didn't have $15.00 for bus fare I cried. ( Thank goodness for the Friendship Bench) That's one of the reasons I'm involved in the Celebrate Recovery Program's. There are so many people who just need a kind word, a smile or a hug and someone who will listen. I Was at one of our Celebrate Recovery Groups which are Christ Centered Program's and I had an opportunity to talk talk with a young woman, who
was having a difficult time with depression, and so I showed her this email that you sent me, and she really liked what she read and asked me where I got it. And so I told her about you, and all of the wonderful things that you do, and all of the people that you help, and showed her how to receive ( Prayables ) (Thank You ) Susan, You're a very special and beautiful young lady.
( I have a note book where I write down acrostics, quotes or something someone shares with me so that
I can pass it along to someone else ( Here are a few things that I heard that I will share with you!)
1- We are all broken, that's how the light gets in.
2- In life we have 3 Choices.
A- Give up.
B- Give in.
or
C- Give it all you've got.
(( Life is like a Camera ))
Capture the good times.
Develop from the negatives!
And, if things don't work
out. Take another shot.
Sincerely,
Doc V W.
