Blessings

Feeling helpless is a problem these days. What can one person do to make even a dent in the great big to-do list for a better, more caring world? May you be blessed to know that one small loving action reverberates throughout God’s kingdom
with epic proportions. Thank you.

You don’t have to attend every argument you’re invited to. Speak calming words, speak with love, and practice understanding instead. May you be blessed with peace in your relationships, and may you be a blessing of peace to others.

May you be blessed to learn how to love without condition, talk with good intention, and to care for people without expectation.

There’s all kinds of quiet. The absence of noise is one kind and another is the quiet you feel holding hands with someone you love. May you be blessed with sacred moments of quiet.

Which of your relationships could use a mini-makeover? May you be blessed with initiative to always make things better between you and the people in your life.

Prayers

There are times when my love for You burns so powerfully within my heart and the words of prayer seem to rush forth quickly and without deliberation. At such times it is not me who is speaking, rather it is Your Spirit that is coming
through me. Praise to You, Holy One, Creator of the Word.

Dear God, Make a way when I can’t see one. Open a door when it is closed to me. Be my voice when I am speechless. Nothing can defeat me. You are on my side. Amen

I pray for the friendless, the ones who are difficult to love, the lost souls who hide behind their own forbidding exteriors. Please God, let me be the one to reach out in kindness. May I somehow make a difference to those in need.

Lord, as I start this day, help me realize how blessed I am to be in my job. Remind me to be grateful for the work I do, the people I meet, and the wage I receive. May I always be cooperative with my colleagues and friendly to the people
I serve. If I complain, let me think first of the common good and later of my own benefit. Help me to always be honest in my dealings and responsible in the task assigned to me. May I never forget that in my work, I bring Your work to completion. Amen

I pray for my family, bless each one according to their needs. I pray for my friends, be generous in granting them favor. I pray for a world repaired, where violence has no place and humankind is loving and kind to one another. I pray
that I may praise God in times of abundance and through times of scarcity. Blessed is the One who answers prayers.
