Re: Sunday is not the Seventh Day
Please explain to me where I can find in the Bible the seventh day and the first day of the week as the same day? I love this app but Sunday cannot be the seventh day and still called the
first day of the week. Give me your biblical proof. Many thanks and God’s richest blessings on your inspiring work.

Re: Why the Sunday Devotional is called "The Seventh Day"
Thanks for your thoughtful question. Keep in mind...I’m no biblical scholar and I have no divinity degree. I’m simply one person who loves God and prayer and feels
called to share inspirational quotes, prayers, verse etc. with as many people as possible.
That said, here’s my “biblically-based” logic for calling the Sunday the seventh day.
Bible tells us God created the world in six days and rested on the seventh. He gave the gift of rest from work to the Israelites and called it (spelled out) “shin-alef-bet” in Hebrew. Translated to English: the Sabbath. At that time in history BCE (before the
common era) folks were on a lunar calendar or the Julian calendar. Later we all moved to the Gregorian calendar. That may be why - though I’m not sure, different religious groups observe different Sabbath days.
I am Jewish and I personally observe Sabbath from sundown Friday to sunset Saturday. Most in our prayer community are Christians. I thought it would be considerate to call the “Seventh Day” Sunday. I like to encourage everyone of all faith traditions to
observe a Sabbath, hopefully in a house of worship among friends and family, honoring God by following the commandment to: "Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor, and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God."
Hope that addresses your question. Thanks for your support and thank you for caring enough to write.
