ANGELA'S TALE OF INSULT AND DISAPPOINTMENT
This is Angela. I wrote you before about a Problem I was having with a Housing Authority and I had to File Charges with the NJ Division On Civil Rights to Fight this with me. I told the Civil Rights I demand Monetary Settlement that
is Substantial, not Derogatory... Or we take my Case to the Federal Court or the Administrative Of Law Judge....
I made a Telephone Call in May of 2016, to this Housing Authority in Long Branch, NJ. I was put through to the Guy to Operates the Section8 Home Ownership Voucher Program and I am also on Social Security-Disability from a 2011, Retail Store Accident, that has Left my Lower Back that I can Not Work a full time position. So when I was put through to this
Guy, I told him who I was and I wanted my File to be Transported to them and be on their Section8 Home Ownership Voucher Program.
Oh!! He began to try to Discourage Me by saying: I would have to Attend many meetings and Usually Other Housing Authorites done like to Pay to have their Clients File sent to them. So then I said I will check. At the time I was with the Middletown Housing Authority-Section8 Program. Then he asked me my Income? Then I said I Am on
Disability with Social Security. Then he asked me how much is it. I told him what I get Each Month in Benefits. So he goes: They Would Have to Pay Too Much, then he Hung Up the Phone just like that!!- I was Hurt and Stunned!!!-
First of all, this Guy was Rude and did Not Know how to speak to a Person on the Phone. Second: He knocked other Housing Authorities about tell me Other Housing Authorities Usually don't like to Pay to have their Clients File Ported over to
them. Third: He for sure Step out of Protocol. Fourth: I have Rights Just Like The Next Person, But I have a Disabilty from a Accident and Section8 Covers that and he Discriminated Against Me For That. Fifth: I have a Section8 Voucher a Legal Payment Tender that also was Denied. Just the Over All Telephone Call and How this Guy Responded Back was a Total DISGRACE!!
Now, I am Still Waiting to see what the Division on Civil Rights is Gonna Do. Either a 1.
Re-Concilliation Meeting with a Monetary Settlement Offer to me and not take it to Federal Court. 2. The NJ Division File Charges on my Behalf and take it to Federal Court's decision on my AWARD. 3. Administrative Of LAW Judge.
