Blessings
Beware of what you let define you. You are not the curses or the failures of your life. Rather, define yourself by blessings and strengths. May you always see God’s blessings in your reflection.
Without patience, you will learn less in life. You will see less. You will feel less. You will hear less. You will rush around more, and it will usually mean less. May God bless you with a patient spirit that remains open to the glorious world around you.
You have been assigned this mountain to show others it can be moved. May you be blessed to accept the challenges set before you and to be a stellar example of strength and perseverance. It’s God’s will.
You need beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in, where nature may heal and cheer and give strength to your body and soul alike. May you be blessed to breathe in splendor and exhale bliss.
Let every person be who they are instead of who you think they should be. May God bring to you the blessing of acceptance. Don’t pray for God to change them, pray for God to change your heart. The greatest gift you can give someone is unconditional love and acceptance.

Prayers
Today I check my relationship with You, my God. This is a conversation – honest, direct and imploring. I examine myself and ask the difficult questions about relationships and forgiveness. About joy and tragedy. The silent questions that challenge my soul and spiritual path. Today I am determined to find answers of faith which support me. Amen
I belong to You, my Lord. I know this best when I am here sharing this space and time with only You. I unfold here, I bring each part of myself forward again to be seen by Your familiar eyes and to be held in Your focused affection. Please unfold for me too. Let me meet You the way You meet me – with exclusive attention, with specific love, with deliberate commitment.
Dear Lord I give you my hands to do Your work my feet to go Your way my eyes to see as You see my tongue to speak Your Word my mind for Your thoughts my spirit that You may pray in me I give You my heart that You may love through me and my whole self that You may grow in me.
Dear God, I thank You for the sleep I received last night and the awakening that You gave me this morning. I do not wake by my power, but by Your grace. I am grateful for the cycle of slumber and wakening. I am grateful for Your grace renewed. Amen
I thank You God for the gift of this day. For counting me worthy to stand in Your presence and serve You. I am truly grateful for all of the blessings You bestow upon me. Help me to do Your will today; to be kind, caring, compassionate. Show me how to focus on being fully present in each moment and doing my best at every task You set before me. You are my Lord. I put my faith, my hope, and my trust in You, God, my redeemer. amen

Affirmations
For the good in me which calls me to a better life, I give thanks. For the strength to improve the world with heart and hands, I give praise.
This is not just another day. It’s the day God gave me. I will act with awe and reverence as if it’s the very first day in my life and the last day in my life.
God is the power that never diminishes nor subsides. God is my strength. Strength to face crisis and handle it calmly. Strength to keep practicing trying mightily in spite of failure. Strength to do what is called for even when it is hard. Strength to do what is right especially when others do not.
I will decide what kind of day it will be. I don’t wait for a turn of events or the moods of others to do it for me. God smiles on me every day and I smile back.
God. I am not asking for anything special today. I simply come to You with a grateful heart and a heart full of thanks.
