Beware of what you let define you. You are not the curses or the failures of your life. Rather, define yourself by blessings and strengths. May you always see God's blessings in your reflection.

Today I check my relationship with You, my God. This is a conversation - honest, direct and imploring. I examine myself and ask the difficult questions about relationships and forgiveness. About joy and tragedy. The silent questions that challenge my soul and spiritual path. Today I am determined to find answers of faith which support me. Amen

After racial slurs were scrawled outside black students' doors at the U.S. Air Force Academy's preparatory school, Superintendent Lt. Gen. Jay Silveria gathered all 4,000 cadets in a hall Thursday so they could hear one message: Treat people with dignity and respect — or get out.

Daily Affirmation
 
God is the power that never diminishes nor subsides. God is my strength. Strength to face crisis and handle it calmly. Strength to keep practicing trying mightily in spite of failure. Strength to do what is called for even when it is hard. Strength to do what is right especially when others do not.
