Lord You surprised me. Just when I got to the point where my plans were made and it was all figured out, it changed. Again. I can bear anything dear Lord, knowing that it is ultimately Your will. Ease me down gently from sorrow and disappointment. Lift me up slow yet sure, to the new place where you want me to be. I trust in You to know my destiny. I trust You Lord to fulfill it.

Having a bad day? I am more mindful of my personal actions. I think about what motivates me to do what I do and to say the things I do to others. I will not explain away my actions because of stress or anger. I am turning a bad day into a good one. I thank God for another chance to a better human being.

So after 14 years in Christianity I have received no answer or response to any prayer. I am not healed. I have received help with nothing, and I am slowly starving to death from lack of money. I now realise that god and jesus are lying [omitted]s, the bible is bull[omitted], they are con artists and this [omitted] is a racket. I hope that one day you stupid [omitted]s will wake up. Not ONE of thousands of prayers worked.
 
Jonathan, In your discouragement, I have been there also.   Before you give up, read the book “The Upside of Down” by Joseph Stowell.  You can find it on Amazon.  Someone gave me this book when I felt the same way you do.  It changed my life.  I know it will have the same impact on you.  Here is a quote from his book that I have posted in my office to remind me of “Why Me!” GRACE is His power to sustain us regardless of our circumstances, 2 Corinthians 12:9 GROWTH is the development of our personhood on both character and competency.  Romans 5:3-5  James 1:1-5 GLORY is the reflection of His character and capacity through our suffering as the world watches to see if our God is powerful enough and good enough to be counted on in trouble,  John 9:3-4 “If we are to find hope when it hurts, we start by affirming that God is not to be blamed but to be trusted and obeyed as He brings us through it all with an outpouring of His grace for our growth and the ultimate gain of glory.” -The Upside of Down by Joseph Stowell I don’t know why 14 years, but I do know that God has a plan for you.  Trust Him and listen.  I know personally, been there and done that!  I was a  wealthy business man that was molded on the potter’s wheel and who became a Chaplain to help others through their pain and suffering.  Fasten your seat belt my friend, Gods has a plan.  It may be a bumpy ride at first, but it will blow you away when it is revealed. PRAYING FOR PEACE AND COMFORT

I am asking for prayer for a friend of many years and her family. She has been through so much over the last few years. Her mother fighting serious illness, the loss of her father, and most recently the loss of her brother. We haven't seen each other in many years but connect through Facebook. Her faith in God is such an inspiration to me. I am praying for peace and comfort for her and her family during this extremely difficult time.
