Today we witness the eclipse of the sun. For a few moments, the world will be darker than it should be. The world will be dark when it shouldn't be.

Our sages tell us that everything physical is but a reflection of the spiritual. There is an eclipse of the physical sun, there are moments of physical darkness, and there is an eclipse of the spiritual sun, of that moral clarity that calls day - day, and calls night - night. Moments of spiritual darkness, when a shadow of uncertainty and unease lurks over us.

While the light that emanates from the sun isn't up to us, the light that emanates from our hearts is. Let us add light and increase in love, good deeds, and acts of kindness to brighten up the world today.
