HE GOT A CAR

When Andy Mitchell spotted a young man in a fast food uniform walking along the side of a road on a 95-degree summer day in Rockwall, Texas, he felt compelled to pull over.

He rolled down his window and offered the man, a 20-year-old named Justin Korva, a ride -- not knowing how much that small gesture would impact the man's life.

While driving Korva to work at Taco Casa, Mitchell discovered the young man normally walked 3 miles to work and home again every day. Korva said he was determined to save up money and someday, he hoped, he would be able to afford a car.

After dropping off Korva, Mitchell posted about the man's determination on Facebook: "To all the people that say they want to work but can't find a job or don't have a vehicle all I can say is you don't want it bad enough," Mitchell wrote...READ MORE

Dear Susan,
I was truly disappointed when I started reading Prayables and read your  opening statement which read "Today is a Special Day - It is the Seventh Day."  All my life growing up until this present moment I have know Sunday to be the first day of the week and Saturday as the seventh.

I do not have a problem with anyone who chooses to worship on Saturday or Sunday.  My concern is when one tries to change or rearrange the order in which the days of the week occur and tries to mislead others of the same.

I love ❤️ reading 📖 your daily prayers and looks forward to reading 📖 it every day.

Peace ✌️ Love ❤️ and Blessings Always

Respectfully yours
Pamela M.

From Susan:

Dear Pamela,
Thank you for writing in with your feedback about the new "Seventh Day". When choosing a name for the new feature, I struggled to find the right balance between the different days people of faith recognize as the Sabbath. The one perspective I neglected (as you rightly point out) is the calendar definition of the seventh day - Saturday.

I'll be considering more feedback and make a decision next week, whether or not to keep the name.

Blessings and thanks for your continued support, candor, and kind words.
Love, Susan
