There's not too much that a good laugh and a long nap can't fix. You can disdain gravity all you want, call out its unfairness, seek to have it banned. But that's not going to help you build an airplane. May you be blessed with visionary thinking that takes you to new heights. Gravity holds you down when you want to soar, but God gives you wings to fly.
PRAYING WITH ANGELS
One Sunday morning some months ago, I had the privilege of preaching in a Salvation Army church in Rapid City, South Dakota. A sweet spirit of worship and camaraderie filled the
small chapel where we gathered with a few new friends and a number of even newer friends.
My sermon was followed by a beautiful prayer service, and as we prayed and sang together, I was deeply moved by the Holy Spirit’s presence. At one point, the sound of a cornet or trumpet, softly and tenderly played from somewhere behind me, joining the piano accompaniment to our singing. It was a heavenly moment...READ MORE

| Just for today...I brush away the aches, pain, and discomfort. I coax healing my way. "Join me" I say to good health. Then I immediately mutter (between
clenched teeth) "get lost" to the intruder named illness. |
Lord, my youngest daughter lives with me and her boyfriend. They care for each other but he is Not her equal in any way. I struggle with him being in her life and pray that she takes the blinders off and realize her great potential and that she is so much more than this young man. Lord please remove this
man from her life before she makes a huge mistake. The situation had caused much turmoil in my heart & life and has strained my relationship with her.

"It's not selfish to do what's right for me," from Monday's Prayables, 4/24/17. I think this statement is very subjective because it assumes people know what's right for them. I think it's the underlying problem in our society today because a lot of people are focused in how it affects them only, and many times it is not right for them
or anyone else. Yes, you have to be true to yourself, but many times we fool ourselves into thinking it's the right thing because it's what we want it to be, when in actuality it's not the right thing. Kind of like the statement, "If it feels right, do it."
Just my thought when I read it. I do enjoy receiving these each day and find them very meaningful. Thanks for all your work to spread the Good News! -
