Blessings

Be lifted this morning by prayer and praise, gratitude and acclamation. May you be blessed to start the day with a heart that sings out to God and ends it with a soul full to overflowing with love.

Nothing is more satisfying than the victory of values over vices. May you be blessed to conquer evil with honest living, generous loving, in service to God Almighty.

Peace is yours when you claim it. Allow serenity to be a personal priority. May God bless you with patience to ride out the stressful situations, and grace to let go of the grudges.

Whatever the goal, whatever your need turn to God and you will succeed. May you be blessed with a heart always open to God’s help.

This morning you were blessed with another day of living. Make the most of it. Be interested in something. Awaken your senses. May enthusiasm be your way forward.

Prayers

I am awaken in awe. God, You are a wonder! I wake with purpose knowing I am made holy in Your image. God’s ways are mine. Praise God who brings me to life each day. amen

I pray to see the beauty in the world and the goodness in people. Lord, show me how to raise my head in confidence, yet lower it with humility before You. Help me to be a lifelong learner. May I always gain knowledge, grow in understanding, and find
wisdom.

Please God, open these eyes in the light of the glorious morning light. Close them at nightfall in blessed restful slumber.

The numbers are too high for my good health. Lord, help me to avoid temptation today. To eat mindfully, to approach activity with enthusiasm, to remember that what I am doing is a blessing, not a punishment. You, who makes all things possible, make
possible the potential I seek for myself.

Grant me the strength from day to day, to bear what burdens come my way. Grant me throughout this bright new day, more to endure and less to fear. Let me not bitterly complain when cherished hopes of mine prove vain. Or spoil with deeds of hate and rage,
some fair tomorrow’s spotless page. As the days shall come and go, in courage let me stronger grow. Edgar A. Guest (adapted)
