Christmas is never over if you carry its spirit throughout the year.

The heart wants what the heart wants. But no one ever said the heart should always get its way. May you be blessed to get what God wants. This may be one of those times to ignore your own urges and succumb to the will of God.
PRETTY UGLY
by Abdullah Shoaib
I’m very ugly
So don’t try to convince me that
I am a very beautiful person
Because at the end of the day
I hate myself in every single way
And I’m not going to lie to myself by saying
There is beauty inside of me that matters
So rest assured I will remind myself
That I am a worthless, terrible person
And nothing you say will make me believe
I still deserve love
Because no matter what
I am not good enough to be loved
And I am in no position to believe that
Beauty does exist within me
Because whenever I look in the mirror I always think
Am I as ugly as people say?

NEEDING LOTS OF PRAYERS
I need prayers I am depressed. I have no job and he left me with nothing he was the person taking care of our household expenses. He all of a sudden broke up with me. It's so hard. I am praying for restoration of our 17 years relationship. His mother and sister constantly interferes in our relationship. I tried to reach out to talk to him but they always have something negative to say. Please pray for me. It's so hard and I have no money, He left me all alone. I am praying he communicate
with me. We need to communicate. I praying God gives me strength. My heart is deeply broken, and I am very hurt and depressed. I needs lots of prayers,

A couple of weeks ago we published a feature called "Mean Kids and Religion". It was about a study which proposed that religious kids were less kind than their secular counterparts.
Mary D. had these thoughtful comments:
Hi Susan,
This is Not any criticism for you or Prayables, but I don't think that "study" about religious vs non-religious childrens' kindness holds water at all. First of all, I oppose that other religions were not included and reject their explanation that there are not enough numbers from religions such as Judaism--how about nearly the entire country of Israel, not to mention the numbers in the US & other countries. I really disagree that their "findings" are valid, since they did
not use a variety of scenarios nor evaluate other behaviors. I think it is completely unscientific, since no other factors in these childrens' lives has been considered; hence, there is no test group, and no way that any one characteristic or conclusion can be determined from such a faulty experiment. Just saying...
Susan's response:
Hi Mary,
Thank you for your comments. Your points are well made. Me personally...I'm a skeptic. There are so many so-called "studies" to prove any one's pre-conceived point of view. I include these type of articles to promote conversation and deep thinking. You've certainly done both and I will share your message with the community. God bless you and thank you for taking the time to write. Your continued support is greatly appreciated.
Blessings, Susan
