Sunday is a day to curl up under the sheets, feel the Spirit and give kisses like there's no tomorrow. Take this day of rest seriously. Serious like a heart attack. May you be blessed to wake up to the omnipotence of God and His commandment of rest.

All I ask;

Food on the table.
Heat for the winter months.
A decent day’s wage.
Restful sleep, all the way through the night.
Please provide for us the basic human necessities.
And then, something more:
Larger dreams, broader connections.
A cause to commit to.
Friends on the same wavelength.
Quality of life and a deeper meaning.
Answers to mysteries.
A way to be useful.
Setting the table with extra places.
An open heart to whatever life may send my way.
Bless us with life in all its glory.

The Reverend Jones and his buddies were having a friendly game of poker that got out of hand. Stakes were mounting up quite high. One player loses $500, clutches his chest and drops dead at the table. The card players are worried that they’ll be blamed for the untimely death. The Reverend says, “I’ll handle it with discretion when I tell his wife. I don’t want to make a bad situation any worse than it is.” Reverend Jones walks over to the wife’s house, knocks on the door, the wife answers, asks what he wants.
He says, “Your husband just lost $500 playing cards.”
She hollers, “TELL HIM TO DROP DEAD!”
The Reverend, sees his chance and says, “I’ll tell him.”
