In generations past, crafts like sewing, knitting and quilting were a matter of necessity. Today the same tasks are more likely to be hobbies for pleasure. Yet there is something Godly about putting your hands to work and bringing new beauty to the world. May you be blessed with skillful hands and a loving heart. Create, and honor creation.

It was, Brittni Darras said, the first time she had ever cried at a parent-teacher conference. Darras, a 25-year-old English teacher at a Colorado high school, was speaking with a mother, who came to the meeting with a list of her daughter’s teachers.

Next to each of the names was a “yes” or “no,” indicating whether the girl wanted her mother to reveal the reason she hadn’t been in classes for a couple weeks.

My daughter's surgery to repair a hole in her throat was unsuccessful. Please pray for our Awesome and Almighty God to give her surgeons and doctors wisdom to know how to repair it and give my daughter the strength and faith to go through whatever comes....THANK YOU
