It is important, make that critical, to be an enthusiast in life. If you are interested in something, no matter what it is, go at it full speed ahead. Embrace it with both arms, hug it, love it and above all become passionate about it. Lukewarm is no good. Hot is not good enough either. May you be blessed with white hot passion for all that is important to you.

​​​​​​​I will accept what is. I will face reality. I will correct those things that I can correct and accept those I cannot.

They say that the number 13 is an unlucky number. This is almost a worldwide belief.

It's unusual to see a room numbered 13, or any hotels, office buildings or apratment buildings with a 13th floor.

But think about this for a moment: 13 original colonies, 13 signers of the Declaration of Independence, 13 stripes on our flag.

And on the U.S. dollar bill: 13 steps on the Pyramid, 13 letters in "Annuit Coeptis", 13 letters in "E Pluribus Unum", 13 stars above the Eagle, 13 bars on that shield, 13 leaves on the olive branch, 13 fruits, and if you look closely, 13 arrows.

Notice this strong staement for minorities: the 13th Amendment.

With so many good examples of thirteen we are "lucky" to recognize that 13 isn't "unlucky" at all.
