Prayables | a resolution you CAN keep

Published: Fri, 01/01/16

Own your own faults and resolve to fix them.

Friday January 1, 2016

You can make more of the same new year's resolutions that you tried in year's past. Eat better, exercise more, make more money, etc. etc. etc. And if you're successful - bravo for you! Yet if you resolve that this year will be the one that you grow spiritually, all the outside forces like appearance, comfort, and an improved situation will come to you without effort, and last for years to come. May you be blessed to spend more time this year in prayer. Give praise, express gratitude, study scripture,  sing hymns, find your tribe, treat yourself to long bouts of authentic self-reflection. Prayer in its many forms is a release of negative emotions. It's a vacation from worry. It's an encouraging conversation with a best friend who totally gets you. God is prepared to make 2016 your best year. Thank Him for it.
Resolve to forward the Daily Blessings.

Today's Bible Quote
Looking Backward and Forward
The name January comes from the Roman god "Janus." He had two faces so he could look forward and backward at the same time.

Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before.
Philippians 3:13
