A young man was at a gas station paying for his fill-up when he noticed a woman who was obviously distraught.

“Can I help?” He asked the woman.

She tearfully replied, “My car broke down, and it’s my daughter’s birthday party. I have to get back home. She will be devastated if I’m late or I don’t show up.”

The man peeked inside the car and saw a back seat full of balloons.

“Here.” He said, handing her his car keys. 

“I’m heading over to my parents, no hurry. They live ten minutes away and they can pick me up. After the party, when you have time to make arrangements, you can bring my car back.”

And that’s what happened. The total strangers exchanged contact. information.

A few hours later, when the car was returned, and the woman profusely thanked the young man, she said,

“What can I do to repay you?”

He jokingly said, “If you know any nice girls, I’m looking to meet someone.”

Never joke about a fix-up to an older woman.

The lady posted the story on her Facebook page. It went viral, and there were hundreds of responses from young women and their mothers!

The woman took the time to filter through the responses and got back to the young man with some exceptional potential suitors.

And that’s how this one young man met and married the love of his life.

I am told this is based on an absolutely true story. I hope it teaches us to take chances with our kindness!
