For years, I subscribed to the noise.
There are still some days I can hear it calling my name, asking me to return to the hustle
and momentum– to the “just one more milestone” kind of life.
But the other day, overloaded by the noise, I powered down my phone, made a cup of tea, and sat on the couch with my favorite accessory– a bright yellow notepad.
And there, in that breath of silence, I wrote these words:
“There’s a person you’re becoming. And she thrives in unplugged hours, yellow notepads, thick presence, candles burning, and homemade chocolate chip banana bread.”
The words felt like a pulse check. Like a reminder, penned to myself, for a day when I wasn’t so sure.
And so maybe you need the reminder today,
too:
