LOSS IS A CLEANSING

I was on my way, quite unaware of the burden upon my soul and my gripping heart clenching what was, and I heard a sound from a distance place, from my inner being saying,

"Loss is a cleansing. Don’t hold on, let it fall away, you can’t hold on, no anger will soothe, no regret will restore, let it go, for what is lost, is simply gone."

And I answered,

"Slow my breath, Holy One, that I may receive Your abundant gifts."
