Give me a sense of humor, Lord. Give me the grace to see a joke, to get some humor out of life, and pass it on to other folk.

I want it all: support from family and independence, riches and humility, glory, and privacy, and most of all, I want to be close to You, my God, my guiding force, One above all.

Dear Lord, I’ve got to get over it. The tiring routine. Endless stretches of time waiting to be filled. Help me get through the days patiently, peacefully, and fulfilled with purpose.

I have no wings to fly, no magic broom to carry me through Your skies. I cover the distance on my own two feet, with You, dear God by my side. Praise to You, who blesses me with the gift of motion.

While the days are shorter, my wants grow longer. I strive to get it all done. I prioritize. I simplify. Dear God, help me as I turn yet another page on the calendar. I thank You for every new beginning and each opportunity for a better tomorrow fulfilled by Your love.

The person who kneels before God can stand before anyone. May you be blessed with a routine of meaningful daily prayer.

Most people want to serve God, but only in an advisory position. May you be blessed to have a true two-way relationship with your God. One that is centered on praise, gratitude, and doing deeds of loving-kindness.

Never give negativity a ride. Negativity will always want to drive. May God bless you to be in the driver’s seat of a car powered by positivity.

Give fear an inch, and it will be a ruler. May you be blessed with strong faith, unwavering trust in God, and confidence in yourself in all situations.

Compassion is difficult to give away because it keeps coming back. May you be blessed to be on the receiving end of all the good you give.
