Â
Take a moment to observe your surroundings.Â
Â
Spring is undeniably here, with leaves and blossoms emerging to adorn each bare branch. Before long, the green canopy will be thick and abundant, erasing the memory of the stark views of the past 25+ weeks.
Â
I often ask this question of both myself and the children: Did we have any role
in bringing about spring? Did it rely on our efforts to arrive?
Â
It’s a comforting and humbling realization to acknowledge that spring arrives without our intervention.
Â
As spring arrived, marking the end of the harsh, cold winter, I didn’t have to work to make it happen. You didn’t either.
Â
The seed buried in the fertile soil didn’t need my hand to sprout; it simply responded to something greater. I didn’t fuss over the trees
or seek out hiding spots for the robin’s nest—it all unfolded without my involvement.
Â
Find solace in the fact that every season and phase necessitates surrendering to the One who orchestrates it all. For those who embrace the rhythm of nurturing and growth, the reward is peace, joy, and vitality.
Â
As we transition from spring to summer, remember that our role isn’t to exert ourselves as if we were divine beings; instead, it’s to trust, wait, receive, and express gratitude.
