Some people are always angry, continuously looking for conflict. Walk away. The battle they fight isn’t with you, it’s with themselves. May you be blessed to know when to leave, when to stay, when to support, when to cease supporting. Don’t be drawn into anyone’s inner struggle – you can’t win, and worse of all – they can’t win either.

Dear God, Wake me from this nightmare. I dream of the day when I will be the powerful, beautiful, resilient person I once was. It’s so hard to remember that side of me when I feel like a shell of the person I was before. I trust You to bring me back to my true self – no longer the weak imposter who took over my will, my soul, and my body. Let me wake in light,
let me live freely again. Amen

ARMCHAIR TRAVEL

The island of San Juan de Gaztelugatxe looks like it’s straight from a movie set. So it shouldn’t be any surprise that it was selected as a filming location for the HBO series, Game of Thrones.

But whether you are a fan of the series or not, San Juan de Gaztelugatxe will dazzle you with its raw beauty.

Located just off the shore along the Bay of Biscay and 35 km (22 miles) east from Bilbao, San Juan de Gaztelugatxe is a definite “must” if you are visiting the Basque Country.

Once at the top of the island, you will find the church which has a bell situated along the front of its facade. According to legend, after you have completed the climb, you should ring the bell three times and make a wish.

The church on top of the island is dedicated to John the Baptist. Although not proven, it has been said that he even set foot on the island. The small church is however, not original. Over the centuries the church has burned down...read more
