WHEN GOD LEADS THE WAY
A true story of destiny and healing
This is from a first-hand account of a true story.
Dr. Joe and Lily Rosenblatt are a couple who live in Miami,
Florida.
Dr. Joe Rosenblatt is a renowned hematologist and oncologist in Miami Beach at the University of Miami Sylvester Center. He specializes in blood disorders.
Lily and Joe were driving down Interstate 95, and Lily noticed a car two lanes over with a FOR SALE sign in the side window. It was an older model, and it looked to be in good shape.
While Lily and Dr. Joe both drive late-model cars, their son was going off to college, and they
wanted to buy him a modest car to drive around campus. Lily took down the phone number.
When she got home that afternoon, she called the number, and a man answered.
"I was driving down I95 today and saw that your car is for sale. Can you tell me more about it and how much you want for the car?"
The fellow, who had a Spanish accent, began to describe the car. He told her the year, make and model, mileage, and how much he was asking for the car. He
assured her it was a very good car.
Lily liked what she heard, but thought there could be a catch. Maybe there was a problem with the car he wasn't telling her.
"It sounds good, but I'm wondering why you are selling the car?"
The man broke down in tears.
"Unfortunately, we are having problems. My wife and I got married just a few years ago in South America. We moved to Miami less than a year ago, and my wife was
diagnosed with cancer. It's already at a very serious stage three.
We went around to doctors, and every one of them said we needed to go see an oncologist. They all recommended Dr. Rosenblatt at the University of Miami, he's the top in this field.
Unfortunately, our insurance doesn't cover the full visit to this doctor or the treatments she'll need, so we are selling the car to be able to pay for her medical expenses."
Lily
Rosenblatt said to the man, "I am Lily Rosenblatt. My husband is the oncologist you're talking about, Dr. Joe Rosenblatt. I will call my husband, and he will see your wife, God willing, very soon. He will not charge you a penny. Don't sell your car."
Sure enough, someone from Dr. Rosenblatt's office called the man back, and the doctor took on his wife as a patient. She responded beautifully to the treatment, and the woman is now healthy and well.
This is
a real-life example of how God leads us to our purpose. Sometimes subtle, sometimes it comes like a blast from a furnace. Watch and wait for the opportunity to be God's angel.
