Tonight, the Jewish people celebrate the holiday of Passover. It's a good time to remember the seven universal blessings the Israelites received from God when they fled slavery in Egypt and began their journey to freedom. 1. God will assign an angel to you. 2. God will be an enemy to your enemies. 3. God will give you prosperity. 4. God will take sickness away from you. 5. God will give you a long life. 6. God will increase in your life. 7. God will give you a special year's blessings.

Dear God, let me taste the sweet fruits of my labor. The work is hard, the reward meager, and my soul is eager for refreshment. Bring bounty to my life, Oh
Lord!

RESOLVED: HUMP DAY DEBATE

You may remember, last Wednesday, I shared an email exchange about Hump day. Is it counter-productive to an optimistic outlook, or is seeing a camel mid-week just plain fun?

The verdict is in. Hump Day is here to stay.

David got plenty of kudos for his upbeat perspective. I received more than a few touching mentions by members of our community sharing what "hump day" means to them. I even received messages from a couple of teacher friends who hold fond memories of students being motivated by Hump Day.

The hump day camel must have been doing some enthusiastic campaigning. The votes are overwhelmingly: "Keep the Camel!"
