By praising You, dear God, I begin to reach inward. This inner life is marvelous, exciting, and fulfilling. When I pray to You, my heart speaks volumes and I am in awe of Your
creation. Blessed are You, who brings forth my best self.

Help me to be aware of my selfishness, but without undue shame or self-judgment. Let me keep surrendering myself until I am utterly transparent. Let my words be rooted in
honesty and my thoughts be lost in Your light, Unnamable God, my essence, my origin, my lifeblood, my home. Stephen Mitchell
